This policy explains how Work Ponto uses information to provide employee time tracking and how to contact support about your data.
1. Service and contact
Work Ponto is operated by SELF SERVICE APP LTDA and records attendance for businesses and their employees. For questions about this policy or your account, contact info@workponto.com and identify the service as Work Ponto. For questions about your employment records, also contact your employer.
2. Account and attendance data
The app uses your name, registered phone number, country and language selection, account identifiers and your association with an employer. Attendance records include the time of an entry, exit or break and the location associated with the record.
3. Device biometrics
Authentication uses the biometric mechanism provided by your device, such as a fingerprint or Face ID. Work Ponto receives the authentication result; the app does not receive your device's enrolled fingerprint or facial biometric template. Photos you choose to send to Human Resources are separate from this authentication.
4. Location, messages and photos
Location is used to verify the workplace when recording attendance. Messages and photos sent through the app are delivered to the selected company's Human Resources team and can include location and time information. Only send content that is relevant to your employment request and that you are authorized to share.
5. Why information is used and shared
Information supports account verification, attendance management, communication with the employer, notifications, reports and integrations configured by the business. Your employer receives the records associated with its business. Infrastructure providers, including Firebase for photo storage and push notifications, process information needed to deliver those functions.
6. Permissions and device settings
The app requests access to location, biometrics, the camera and notifications for the corresponding functions. You can manage permissions in your device settings. Turning off a required permission may prevent sign-in, attendance recording or another related function.
7. Retention and account deletion
Account information and employment records serve different purposes. You may request account closure and deletion of associated personal information using the account deletion page. Attendance, payroll or business records may need to remain with the employer or service where required by applicable obligations. Support will explain which data can be removed and any retention that applies to your request.
8. Your requests
Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of your account information, or to ask how your information is used. Include your name and registered phone number so the account can be located. We may ask for verification before making changes. Do not send passwords, SMS codes or biometric images.
9. This website and external links
This website remembers your chosen language using your browser's local storage and a first-party functional language preference cookie that lasts for one year. If browser storage is unavailable, language selection still works for the current visit. You can remove the saved preference by clearing site data. This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. App Store and Google Play links open services operated by Apple and Google, which have their own privacy policies.
10. Policy updates
The current version is available on this website. Updates may reflect changes to the service or its data handling. Contact support if you have a question about a change.
